As crypto continues to mature better data analytics for on-chain and off-chain data are going to emerge to understand competitive positioning (we already have many companies focusing on just the data API side).
Today we have nansen and others but tomorrow we will want to see more advanced tooling surrounding other competitive DAOs or protocols including who owns what, how they vote in governance, and other on-chain data as well as off-chain voting/commentary that ties wallets together, github repo information, job postings, and even more advanced types of analytics like topic modeling of discussions surrounding protocols.
There’s a similar company in this for Web2 named Crayon. We haven’t spent material time with the team but would generally imagine it’d be good to understand what has or hasn’t worked over time with that business as they haven’t raised much capital.
