Concept
A modular, upgradeable system that allows for off-grid or sustainable utilities for homes or buildings
Longer Description
Both due to societal, cost, and infrastructural problems, we believe that more and more of utilities either domestically or internationally will want to be decentralized. The end-state of this could lead to smaller block-scale utility platforms or residential pods that serve power, heat, water, waste management, internet, etc. without infrastructure investments from governments.
Other Thoughts
- We don’t have strong views on GTM or whether targeting builders, homeowners, or enterprises with off-grid needs due to geography are best, but we’d imagine the former two are likely more open for competition.
- Retrofitting and upgradeability feels necessary for any mid-term roadmap.
- This might be a complete nerd-snipe of autonomous decentralized futures that we believe in without a fundamentally strong business model that allows you get to get venture scale vs. something that is niche and loved by a subset of people over the next 10 years (over 50+ year time horizon we think this is inevitable).
